Testing Requirements for Officials
Per UIL requirements, all ABOA members are required to pass Rules and Mechanics tests to officiate interscholastic contests during the basketball season.
All tests will be administered online, at the THSBOA website. You must first register with THSBOA and pay state dues before being allowed to access the testing system.
Requirements for 2018-2019

Please note:
- Tests are accessible from the THSBOA website.
- You may take the tests multiple times; however, if you achieve a score of 90, you will not be permitted anymore tries.
- The ABOA Assignment Secretary will automatically receive your test scores. There is no need to notify or send scores to the ABOA.
- To be eligible for UIL and Playoff assignments, you must pass the Part II Rules Test with a score of 92 or better.
